Но оказалось все гораздо интереснее. Примерно 51% беременностей в Штатах – незапланированные! Понятно, что здесь могут быть очень разные варианты, включая и “залеты”, и неправильно подобранные средства контрацепции, да, в конце концов, и у контрацептивов гарантия не 100%. Но половина всех беременностей – это как-то ну очень много для цивилизованной страны в 21 веке. (Интересно, какая статистика была бы по Украине, конечно).
Более того, 30% женщин фертильного возраста на вопрос об их основном средстве предохранения отвечают “никакого”. Да, опять же, здесь куча всего намешана – и женщины, которые сейчас не сексуально активны, и те, кто еще в процессе, и те, кто хочет забеременеть, и беременных, и люди, которым не позволяют этого делать религиозные убеждения. А цифра лично меня все равно шокирует. И опять же, любопытна статистика по Украине (пока что я только видела в этом курсе данные, что в целом использование контрацептивных средств в странах СНГ выросло раза в полтора с 1990 года – но это, кстати, общемировая тенденция).
Даже не знаю, как это все комментировать и какие выводы делать. Я как-то думала, что уж в наше время все оптимистичнее и к планированию потомства люди подходят более ответственно.
Впрочем, статистика тех же США показывает, что часть людей вопрос просто решает радикально – далеко не на последнем месте в статистике использования способов предохранения используется мужская и женская стерилизация.
